CamSur Chamber of Commerce Launches First Women in Business Digitalk.

On March 24, 2021 the Camarines Sur Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc., (CSCCI) in partnership with the Province of Camarines Sur and the Department of Science and Technology celebrated women’s month by launching its very first Digitalk entitled “Creativity and Innovation in a Modified Lifestyle” via Facebook Live and Youtube.

Hosted by Ms. Amy Cadiz, the program featured a host of prominent women leaders such as Ms. Maria Emma F. Llorin, the Founder and CEO of the Bicol based multi-awarded medical supplier, Medlane Diagnostic Solutions Incorporated, Ms. Pat Felizmenio, the Provincial Science and Technology Director of Camarines Sur and entrepreneur Ms. Hilaria Comia, owner of Great Hidee Trading as well as an inspiring message from the first woman president of the Camarines Sur Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc., Ms. Maria Soledad V. Magtuto. The program is available for viewing on the Facebook Page of the Camarines Sur Chamber of Commerce and their Youtube channel.

This program follows a series of activities initiated by the CSCCI’s Women in Business Committee for the promotion and development of women-owned Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) within the province of Camarines Sur.

Prior to the airing of the first episode of the Digitalk, the Women in Business Committee had already been quite busy under the leadership of Chairperson Cynthia P. Arce, carrying out livelihood assistance programs to marginalised women and their families who were still recovering from the adverse effects of the numerous calamities of 2020. The two (2) recipients from Minalabac were Lizardo’s Vegetable Store, and Ortega Barbecue while  the recipient of Pasacao was Baloloy’s Sari-Sari Store, all of whom received assistance to reopen their micro businesses to generate a sustainable income.

The Women in Business Digitalk is the result of the strong private and public partnership built between the Camarines Sur Chamber of Commerce, the Provincial Government and the Department of Science and Technology. ADT/LM/ADA
